Summer Goals

I’ve decided that I need to have some goals for this summer. I realize the summer is already one third of the way through, but it’s never too late to start!

1. Read four books this summer.

Something I hear all the time is that good writers are good readers. If you want to grow as a writer, you have to read, read, read!

2. Keep a consistent quiet time journal.

This is something I’m really awful at. I’m pretty consistent when it comes to reading my Bible, but not at writing down what I learn or really reflecting on what I’m learning. I think if I can get better on this, then I can stay more focused on Christ and I’ll grow more in my faith.

3. Blog at least twice a week.

The other thing I’ve heard about becoming a better writer is to practice, practice, practice! What better way to practice than to blog?

4. Walk/Run at least four times a week.

I need to make healthier decisions. I think this is a realistic place to start. It will be especially helpful when I get to DC and am walking everywhere!

5. Go to bed no later than 11:30 on week nights.

This will help me be better rested and perform better at work. Also, it will help me develop good habits for next semester (and the rest of my life).

And… on that note… it’s 11:22! I need to scoot so I can climb into bed!
